Best High Schools: Pennsylvania Schools Ranked In Brand-New List

Pennsylvania is rife with top-rated high schools, according to brand-new rankings.

US News & World report released its annual list of Best High Schools in the U.S. on Tuesday morning, April 23.

The rankings were determined by performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare students for college.

Julia R. Masterman Secondary School in Philadelphia was rated the fourth best school in the nation. Downington STEM Academy also made the top 50, coming in at No. 46.

According to US News, these are the top 10 high schools in Pennsylvania:

No. 10: Harriton High School, Rosemont
No. 9: Upper Saint Clair High School, Pittsburgh
No. 8: Pittsburgh CAPA
No. 7: Great Valley High School
No. 6: Radnor High School
No. 5: Central High School, Philadelphia
No. 4: Conestoga High School, Berwyn
No. 3: Wilkes-Barre Area Sd Stem Academy, Plains
No. 2: Downingtown STEM Academy
No. 1: Julia R. Masterman Secondary School, Philadelphia
